River (he/him) is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). He began his healthcare journey in 2006 as a Registered Physiotherapist. He worked with the Chinese national gymnastics team, and at the Tian Jin Sickkids Hospital as well as in a clinic setting.

River graduated from the Academy of Acupuncture in San Diego (2018), The Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM) and the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Toronto in 2016.

River is a strong advocate for the rehabilitative sciences and is able to combine the benefits of acupuncture, cupping, and manual therapy into his treatments. His extensive training in three disciplines provides him with the skill to relieve pain and discomfort from sports injury, incorrect posture, accident trauma, digestion and sleep disorders,  as well as stress, anxiety, and depression.

River has an excellent knowledge base in TCM and uses these techniques for diagnosis and treatment. He may use a combination of acupuncture, myofascial and trigger point release, cupping, tuina, Gua Sha, etc. in his treatments. He looks forward to developing an individualized treatment plan for each patient and directly addressing your requests and resolving your issues.

River’s passion lies in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Although he has many certifications, River considers himself a lifelong learner and continues to immerse himself in his studies of TCM in his spare time. He enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis, going to the gym, and traveling.
