How We started
Ossington Chiropractic and Rehabilitation (OCR) officially opened its doors in April 2014 with a strong commitment to holistic wellness. We began our journey as a cozy home clinic, with only one chiropractor, Dr. Glenn, and Susan as the admin. After just a year of operation, we quickly expanded to accommodate our growing clientele and moved to our current wellness clinic located at 145 Ossington Ave. Today, we are proud to have a thriving team consisting of 4 chiropractors, 2 physiotherapists, 2 knowledgeable acupuncturists, 2 massage therapists, and 1 psychotherapist, all dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our community.
Our Vision
Our mission is to humbly serve the Ossington community and beyond, with care and compassion.
Our vision is to empower individuals to take control of their health by gaining a better understanding of their bodies and by providing access to high quality healthcare. We strive to accomplish this by building a culture/place where our staff can do their best work, everyday.
What to Expect
When you visit OCR for the first time, our chiropractor, physiotherapist, or acupuncturist, will provide you with a thorough and comprehensive assessment, taking the time to clearly understand your individual needs and goals. They will then:
1. Help you understand the root cause of your issue
2. Explain the type and duratino of treatment that you will need
3. Answer any questions you may have
Feel free to call or e-mail us if you have questions about our practitioners' scope of practice or to determine which practitioner would be best suited to take care of your needs and concerns. We are always happy to answer your questions.
A Note from Dr. Glenn Paul Uy, Co-owner
Most people think that chiropractors just "crack" backs and necks. What many people may not know is that chiropractors are an integral part of the healthcare system. We treat many common injuries naturally, without the use of medication. Chiropractors can efficiently assess and treat injuries such as muscle strains or ligament sprains, rotator cuff injuries, neck strains, nerve entrapments, back strains, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, tennis/golfers elbow, etc. As chiropractors, we can manipulate bones and joints to help decrease pain, increase range of motion and decrease muscle tension. I am full body certified in Active Release Technique® (ART®) and a Registered Acupuncturist. With these techniques and an active rehabilitation program, most physical injuries can be successfully treated. I have been working in general practice for almost 20 years and am thrilled that OCR has become a community hub for families over the past 10 years.
We have an amazing team of professionals at OCR who are invested in your health and will care for you like they would a family member. We work as a multi-disciplinary team with a unified goal of helping you return to your activities or daily life pain-free.
